Description

H1DR1x is an RS485 serial transceiver module based on Maxim Integrated MAX14840EASA+ transceiver and STM32F0 MCU.

  • Easy-to-use and compact 3.3V RS485 half-duplex transceiver with high ESD protection for long-range wired serial communication and industrial applications.
  • 120 Ohm DC termination resistor included on each module and enabled / disabled by a solder jumper/ zero-Ohm resistor
  • 100 nF AC termination included on each module and bypassed by default with a solder jumper / zero-Ohm resistor.
  • Use this module to connect to industrial equipment that support RS485 interfaces such as PLCs, motor drives and energy meters, among others.
  • Can be configured in either one of these modes: UART-RS485 bridge, or Modbus RTU terminal or Modbus ASCII terminal.
  • Program advanced C code using our easy-to-use APIs and messaging system.
  • Use separately or combine with other Hexabitz modules and external hardware.

Front-end

  • Maximu Integrated MAX14840EASA+ RS-485 half-duplex transceiver:
    • +3.3V ESD-protected transceivers.
    • Up to 40Mbps half-duplex data rate.
    • Symmetrical fail-safe and large receiver hysteresis (170mV) providing improved noise rejection and improved recovered signals in high-speed and long cable applications.
    • Industrial ambient operating temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
  • RS485 bus connector: TE Connectivity/AMP 2-position 5.08mm shrouded header.
  • 120 Ohm, 0603 SMD DC termination resistor included on each module and enabled / disabled by a solder jumper/ 0603 zero-Ohm resistor. The DC termination is disabled by default.
  • 100 nF, 0603 SMD AC termination included on each module and bypassed by default with a solder jumper / zero-Ohm resistor.

  • STM32F091CBU6 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 MCU.
  • 8MHz external oscillator.
  • Five array ports and six power ports (+3.3V and GND).
  • Access to 5xUART, 2xI2C, SWD, BOOT0, RESET.
